Entering with Visa on Arrival and Visa Exemption Facility According to the Circular Letter of the Directorate General of Immigration No. IMI-0549.GR.01.01 of 2022 concerning the Ease of Immigration to Support Sustainable Tourism during the COVID-19 Pandemic effective from 6 April 2022, below are the list of countries and special entities for Visa On Arrival ( VOA ), in alphabetical order: Argentina Australia Belgium Brazil Brunei Darussalam Cambodia Canada China Denmark Finland France Germany Hungary India Italy Japan Laos Malaysia Mexico Myanmar Netherland New Zealand Norway Philippines Poland Qatar Saudi Arabia Seychelles Singapore South Africa South Korea Spain Sweden Swiss Taiwan Thailand Timor Leste Tunisia Türkiye United Arab Emirates United Kingdom United States of America Vietnam
Below are the list of countries and special entities for Visa Exemption Arrangement in BALI Facility in alphabetical order: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Please note that VOA and Visa Exemption Facility are only available in Ngurah Rai International Airport.  

1. Visit Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose can be issued accordingly with the following requirements:
  • Passport (diplomatic/official/ordinary) that is valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months,
  • A return ticket or a pass to continue the trip to another country,
  • Proof of payment of PNBP Visa on Arrival of 500,000 IDR (in the case of applying for a
  • Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose), and
  • Proof of ownership of health insurance which includes financing for handling COVID-19 and medical evacuation to a referral hospital.
2. The entry stamp on the granting of a Visit Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose will be valid as a Visit Stay Permit with the certain period, as follows:
Visit Visa Exemption: maximum 30 days and cannot be extended.

Visa on Arrival: maximum of 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days at the Immigration Office in the area where the foreign national lives. 

3. Visit Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose can also be granted for foreign nationals on official visit or government duties to attend international events, for which shall be applied additional requirement: to enclose an invitation letter issued by the Indonesian government to attend the international conferences/trials/meetings.
4. The provision of Visit Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival for Leisure Purpose as stipulated above applies to holders of diplomatic passports, service passports, or ordinary/general passports.

Indonesia Visa on Arrival for Foreigner

1. Passengers are not allowed to enter and transit.
- This does not apply to nationals of Indonesia.
- This does not apply to passengers with a Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) or Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP).
- This does not apply to passengers with a diplomatic or a service visa.
- This does not apply to passengers with a diplomatic or service stay permit.
- This does not apply to passengers with a visa issued after 31 March 2020.
2. Passengers and airline crew must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 7 days before arrival.
3. Passengers without a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result are subject to medical screening and quarantine for 14 days.
4. Airline crew without a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result are subject to medical screening and quarantine until their next flight.
5. Deadhead crew will be given an entry stamp. They must:
- have a valid crew ID card or crew member certificate;
- provide written notification to Immigration Officer proving they will be on duty on the return flight. The notification must be received by Immigration Officer minimum 24 hours from arrival.

PROVISIONAL PROHIBITIONS OF FOREIGNERS ENTERING INDONESIAN TERRITORY RELATED TO COVID-19

 The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has issued a new decree in response to the escalating COVID 19 outbreak.
Effective from April 2, 2020, Indonesia will refuse entries to foreigners (visiting or transiting). 

This decree exempts the following:
  1. Holders of KITAS (Limited Stay Permit) and KITAP (Permanent Stay Permit) 
  2. Holders of Diplomatic/Service visa 
  3. Holders of Diplomatic Stay Permit/ Service Stay Permit 
  4. Medical, Food, and Humanitarian Aid Support Workers 
  5. Transportation Crew 
  6. Employee/workers of National Strategic Projects (such as infrastructure and construction)

For exempted foreigners, the following are required:
  1. Health certificate or letter written in English stating a negative COVID-19 result based on a PCR test. Foreigners who are unable to provide the aforementioned Health certificate/letter will be required to undergo a PCR test at designated place * ​
  2. Has established a minimum of 14 (fourteen) days residence in countries deemed clear of COVID-19
  3. Must be willing to follow the 14 (fourteen) days quarantine, as mandated by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia
  4. If must apply for visa, applications are by mail only

NOTE:
* While waiting for the test result of PCR, foreigner(s) must undergo quarantine at hotel designated by Indonesian Authorities. Lodging and meal expenses shall be borne by the foreigner(s) and/or the employer(s)​
